But a recent survey of America’s favorite ice cream flavors suggests Americans as a whole are more broadly split when it comes down to their favorite flavors.
YouGov asked 1,000 people about their favorite flavor. Vanilla took the top spot with 11% of respondents saying it was their favorite flavor followed by 10% for chocolate as a close second. With 7%, third place went to cookies and cream. The headline results of the survey aren’t all that surprising. All three flavors are undeniably true classics and certainly part of our staple offering. That said, with no single flavor above 20% in terms of favorite, the data also doesn’t suggest one flavor or another truly dominates. Sure, loads of people responded they liked vanilla (59%), but aside from raspberry, butterscotch, and cake batter, at least 20% of the people surveyed liked 18 out of the 21 flavors. In summary, there are a lot of “likes” but no clear favorite when it comes to ice cream selection.
