Top 5 Attractions in Hialeah

Come Visit Hialeah

Visitors to Hialeah Miami have loads options when it comes to attractions. Here are our top 5 favorites:

Garden of the Arts

On West 76th street, close to Palm Lakes and Timothy Artman parks, the Garden of the Arts represents one of the major hidden gems of Hialeah. This family friendly park offers a half mile walking trail lined with sculptures and artwork by local and international artists. The palm trees here offer copious amounts of shade, making the Garden of the Arts one of our favorite colorful spots to picnic in all of Hialeah. Don’t forget to check out the amphitheater, which hosts live events to the public and can be rented out on a personal or corporate basis at a cost of just $50 dollars an hour.

Amelia Earhart Park

With a watersports complex, mountain biking, playground, soccer field, volleyball court, bike trails and so much more, Amelia Park provides more amenities than most parks in the Miami area. Dogs are even made welcome by the completely free Bark Park, which also offers a separate section for smaller dogs. At a whopping 512 acres and containing five lakes, the park provides an idyllic setting for groups of any size. Plus parking is free on weekdays and only $7 dollars on weekends. Given everything on offer, it comes as no surprise that Amelia Earhart,  located at 401 E 65 Street is ranked as Hialeah’s top destination on TripAdvisor.

Hialeah Park

Steeped in over 90 years of history and covering 40 square blocks, Hialeah Park Racing & Casino is one of the area’s main attractions. Winston Churchill even declared it his favorite racetrack in the world. But he hasn’t been the only fan. Through the ages the park has been host to many of the world’s rich and famous. Whether you are there to view the iconic racetrack, gardens, the Flamingo sanctuary or try your luck at the casino, restaurants or night life, the place truly has something for everyone. Make your own little piece of history by visiting this famous Hialeah destination. Enter via the 100E 32nd or the 2200 E 4th avenue entrance.

Leah Arts District

Visit art galleries, enjoy a range of street foods, or do some shopping at local boutiques all against the backdrop of colorful mural filled streets. The Leah Art District has completely transformed Hialeah’s defunct warehouse district into space into a  thriving community of artists and creatives. A stroll through the district anytime makes for a great day or evening out. More often than not, visitors will have an opportunity to partake in live music and also one of the many block parties hosted in the area. Those who come are promised to be injected with a new sense of creativity and inspiration. The district is located in the eastern area of Hialeah.
