Dippin’ Dots Four Must-Try Summer Flavors

Adam Gross, VP of Sales at Dippin’ Dots appeared on live television this week to showcase the summer’s must-try ice cream flavors; his timing couldn’t have been better with a heatwave happening across the US. Sporting not just one but four flavors, he gave Ellen Bryan, host of Great Day Washington on WUSA9/CBS, a great lineup of dairy and non-dairy Dippin Dots options to try. Throughout the short segment, she couldn’t contain her smiles, and Adam played a great ice cream sommelier. Below are the quick highlights.

The Must Tries

In terms of must-try Dippin’ Dots non-dairy, it was ICEE Cherry ‘n Blue Razz and Rainbow Ice that made the cut. For dairy, Cotton Candy and Froseti Dough that were represented. Ellen’s favorite ended up being ICEE Cherry ‘n Blue Razz. She said it tastes like an ICEE novelty drink, which she loves, but better and nice and light in the heat. To be honest, she seemed enthralled with all the flavors.

2,000 Mini Popsicles

When it came round to trying Rainbow Ice, Ellen asked whether the non-dairy options were like sherbet. We loved it when Adam replied that a cup of Dippin’ Dots were more like 2,000 mini popsicles bursting with flavor given that Dippin’ Dot beads are flash frozen at extremely low temperatures. That simile was spot on as was the childhood nostalgia of trying multi-flavored popsicles that Rainbow Ice evoked for Ellen.

Ultra Popular

By the time they got to Cotton Candy, Adam let slip that the flavor was one of the most loved, having risen into the top three most popular flavors. For the Dippin’ Dots lovers out there, that’s probably not completely unsurprising news. Still, in the grander scheme of flavor profiles, for a more specialized flavor like that to be sitting in such a high position says a lot about how great Cotton Candy tastes.

Dippin’ Dots Favorite?

What was the Dippin’ Dots guy’s favorite flavor? Well, Adam confessed that Frozeti Dough is one of his favorites. To be honest, his description of the layers of sugar cookie ice cream dotted with chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate sandwich dough even had us questioning our own favorites for a minute. Plus, it has the beloved Dippin’ Dots mascot Frozeti’s namesake. That being said, that was Adam’s favorites, Dippin’ Dots to our knowledge has never disclosed a company favorite. Who could blame them, there are just too many to choose from.
